The main street in Hurghada is Sheraton St. this is where you will find bazaars selling local souvenirs and lots of shops selling the most fashionable handbags and trainers, haggling is a must! There are also bars, restaurants and hotels along Sheraton St. sit and watch the crazy drivers winding their way along the road and listen to to taxis beeping their horns to get attention. Mamsha is located only 5 minutes drive away from the main street, however, this area is more laid back with its shopping and bars, restaurants. A nice relaxing walk along the long, wide promenade is just whats needed after a nice dinner. You can also find some of Hurghadas famous nightclubs along Mamsha, if you want to party all night long!
Only 30 minutes away from Hurghada City you will find the cosmopolitan areas of El Gouna and Sahl Hasheesh. Here you can enjoy a more European lifestyle, with beautiful beaches, restaurants and evening entertainment.
If you want a more local experience, you can visit the Souk in Dahar. This is where you will find locals going about their business, buying their produce and sitting in coffee shops, drinking tea and smoking shisha. There are many stalls selling street food, such as Hawawshy, koshery, foul and falafel and also, fresh juice stalls, where you can enjoy fresh orange juice or mango juice, dependent on the season. However, you can always sit and enjoy the sweet juice from the sugar cane.
