Mountain of Moses, is also called Mount Sinai. This place is traditionally identified with the biblical Mount Horeb where, according to the Old Testament, Moses received from God the stone tablets of the testimony, and made a covenant with God.
However, Saint Catherine’s Monastery is the oldest Christian monasteries existing today. Located in a narrow valley at the foot of St Catherine and Mount Sinai, at an altitude of 1570 m above sea level Placed its surroundings on the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The monastery is Greek Orthodox. The monastery is a burning bush and Moses well.
Departure by bus approx. 09:00 pm. in the direction of Dahab and the monastery of St. Catherine. Check on site after about 3 hours. Night entrance to Mount Moses (about 3 hours, rent camels for an additional fee). Admiring the sunrise. After descending from the summit of a break for breakfast (packed lunch). Then visit the monastery of St.. Catherine. Back to the hotel around 2:00 pm.
